The Theatre School is unique because we focus exclusively on drama. It is fundamentally concerned with the progression of students through an innovative and expressive curriculum which will extend their knowledge and understanding of theatre and drama forms.

Drama has the ability to empower, enthuse and challenge and above all is fun! We run skills workshops on a weekly basis covering the two major elements of improvisation and text based work. We also provide the opportunity to work towards exams in acting and speech and drama.

Ethos

The key to the Theatre School is based on the belief that good work comes from confident, happy individuals that will work well both individually and as part of a group. The school associates itself with providing this environment by instilling a “company atmosphere” where every student is valued as an equal.

Performance

The Theatre School is committed to providing opportunities for performance ranging from end of term showings of work, through to performing at the Edinburgh Festival. The Theatre School passionately believes that performance is crucial to showcasing skills learnt and providing a forum for personal progression.
